In Wendy Stimson’s 40 years of experience she has developed a unique approach to rehabilitation applying biofeedback techniques to restore normal motion. She is the inventor of the GyroCoach, a patented visual goniometer and biofeedback device used to retrain patients and athletes for optimal performance. Wendy has an extensive background in motion analysis. To assist with analyzing motion and developing treatment strategies for restoring normal motion, Wendy uses wireless motion capture, slow motion video and an instrumented treadmill evaluating patients in her clinic.
Wendy received her BS in physical therapy from California State University, Fresno in 1979 and an MBA from San Jose State University in 1986. Wendy has instructed continuing education classes in biofeedback through the California Physical Therapy Association. She has completed certification courses in Neuro-Developmental Treatment, Pilates instruction and Titleist Performance Institute Golf Swing Analysis. Wendy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Pilates Method Alliance, Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
In her free time, Wendy enjoys singing in choir, biking, and hiking.
